What is Laughter Yoga?
Laughter Yoga is a form of exercise that combines unconditional laughter and yogic breathing without yoga mats or poses. All you need is an open mind, an open heart, and a willingness to let your inner child come out!
Laughter Yoga is a fun way to practice mindfulness meditation since one must be fully present to laugh. No jokes are used in Laughter Yoga because everyone has a different sense of humor, and this allows the left (analytical) side of the brain to rest while activating the right (creative) side of the brain. All feelings are also welcome because it’s not just about being positive.
Classes start with simulated laughter, gentle physical movements, eye contact, and childlike playfulness. Since laughter is so contagious, it leads to real laughter!
